Every now and then i use this blog. So expect huge time gaps, random reblogs, and the occasional post about my life thus far.
i’ve been up all night working on my entry for Round 1 of the Anime Song Contest over on YouTube…
after the “sing whatever you want” Preliminary round, round 1’s challange was “cross-singing” where males would have to sing songs originally by females and vice versa.
i thought it’d be a really unique idea to pick a song that’s relatively easy to sing in the original key, but as i look at all the entries that come up, seems many people had this notion too. so i was trying to figure out how to one up them.
OH DUH. how bout we sing something really impossible ey? and that’s where i got the title for this blog. that’s the song i’m singing. Inner Universe by Origa from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (oh and composed by the great Yoko Kanno). and let’s just say… the easiest part of the song probably was the boy soprano part… cuz he at least had the same genitalia as me xD
anyways if you do a search on YouTube you’re bound to find the song. it’s just that good. and if you’ve never heard the song before it’s AMAZING. it’ll take you to another world i swear! and it’s randomly in English, Russian, and Latin so it’ll have you thinking you’re listening to a reversed playback of the song xD…
but yeah had i not clicked on the “Text” button i would’ve uploaded the song or linked you to a YouTube video with it… but i clicked on Text so i should write :/
anyways that’s what i’ve been doing up… i’ll upload the entry tomorrow and link you all here! when it’s up please listen and if you can leave some comments! i need to garner more attention in the early rounds of the contest so i’ve got some sort of following when i’m in the finals. regardless i’ll be spamming you all anyways until you say you’ve heard it =P
