so i’m back… and in need of your help! There’s a Metric remix contest out right now and I submitted my entry for their song “Satellite Mind”. You can listen below to the remix. Be sure to click “Play Original” if you would like to compare it to the original. And it would really make my day (and perhaps even month) if you could all go over and Vote For My Entry!!

Well if you didn’t listen, it’s an all orchestral remix which i felt was the only way i could completely separate from their very electronic indie rock genre. So instead of a loud concert with a rowdy audience, you’re front and center at the Royal Opera House ready for a formal listening of Metric’s Fantasies Suites. In this case, Satellite Mind, which is movement 1 in Fantasies Suite No. 2. Also, i didn’t listen to the original and built my remix based on what i heard in the vocal track. So this is, in some sense, more than just a remix. It’s what i would’ve created had i produced the song. 

Lastly, i originally planned on entering all of their songs for the contest, but only was able to finish one. But i still am set on the idea of an all orchestral Fantasies album so i’ll be working on them in the coming months posting them here and on my YouTube. Gimme Sympathy, Collect Call, and Blindness are the 3 songs I’ve started already :)
